1. Make sure you get the right plant for the right light.
“It’s very disheartening to take care of plants that aren’t thriving in the right light and right environment, because no matter what you do, it’s a failing process [if they don’t have the correct light]. So, if you want a happy, healthy plant, make sure you consult in getting something for the right location. A lot of people want to put it there just because it looks good.”
2. Have a routine.
“Erratic watering can cause yellow leaves and then stressing on the plants. So just pick a day [for watering]. They do get used to routines, so routine is important.”
3. Touch the soil to make sure you’re not underwatering or overwatering.
“If you touch the soil, you know if you’ve given it enough or not enough.”
