Ghosts of Christmas Past: Join us on a Dickensian adventure this holiday season as we read A Christmas Carol and other titles involving Dickens, ghosts, and haunting memories.

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens: A Christmas Carol is of course a Christmas Classic! And for good reason. Though Dickens is usually known for his novels, this story is actually a short story and is meant to be read in one sitting. Perfect for anyone looking for a quick classic Christmas feel.

Marley by Jon Clinch: Wanting that classic Christmas feel but the original A Christmas Carol is just too short? Pick up Marley (2019). This story follows Scrooge’s ghostly business partner before he met his grisly end. Follow the twists and turns of this tale to learn how the two met, became friends, started a business and how their relationship fell apart. A haunting new look at an old story.

Mr. Dickens and His Carol by Samantha Silva: This book is more along the lines of biographical fiction. The story follows Charles Dickens and the challenges he faces writing a Christmas book in no more than a month. Readers of this book might see where Scrooge gets his bad attitude, but the new look into a Christmas classic is sure to hold readers until the end.

The Ghost of Christmas Past by Rhys Bowen: this somewhat heartbreaking cozy mystery has little to do with Dickens (aside from the title). Ten years ago a little girl went missing and her body was never recovered. Now, years later on the night before Christmas a young girl returns (?) claiming to be Charlotte, the girl who was never found.
