-Cape Girardeau Public Library Open Mic Night: Bring your songs, poetry and/or comedy to a welcoming and receptive audience at the Cape Girardeau Public Library from 6 to 9 p.m. the first Friday of each month. Stay to listen, too.
-Songwriters’ Night in Cape Girardeau: Head to Port Cape each Tuesday night from 8 to 11 p.m. to share your original songs with Southeast Missouri.
-The Memoir Group: Want a community of support around you while you write your own memoir? The Memoir Group meets at the Cape Girardeau Public Library the second Monday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon, in the Penzel Conference Room.
